Five US state privacy laws are coming into force in January:
Delaware Personal Data Privacy Act (DPDPA)
Iowa Consumer Data Protection Act (Iowa CDPA)
New Hampshire Data Privacy Law (NHDPL)
New Jersey Data Privacy Act (NJDPA)
Nebraska Data Privacy Act (NDPA)
While the laws vary, business that control or process personal data may be required to enable new opt-out consent for certain types of data processing. Though many of the laws don’t apply to very small businesses, it’s a good prompt to review and update your privacy policies.
